Alas....back to Ride the Zone
I was so happy to walk through the door of Marion's studio today. After taking a break due to being under the work, and receiving numerous emails from my spin buds awaiting my return....today was the day. I needed to sweat like I do when I spin and I needed to close my eyes and zone out to a some of my favorite spin tunes. All is now good in my world.

I sweat out some unexpected toxins at Team Zone this morning. A quick drink on Tuesday turned into a night out. Spinning is so fantastic for sweating out the poison.
Food Log:
pre workout: toast with 1% cottage cheese
post workout: coconut water, clementine, Greek yogurt with flaxseed and chopped berries

So an ex-boyfriend has developed a liking for RTZ. We dated in 2003 for about a year;it's been a long while and we bump into one another at different social things so I can't say it's awkward. However, i'm not so keen on seeing him at spin. I guess I feel like, he's kind of invading my turf which is silly but honest.

Grace Outreach: share the love #2
A charity organization that is dear to me is Grace Outeach(www.graceoutreachbronx.org). We are young but our results have been overwhelming. The program's initial initative was to reach out to women that did not complete high school for one reason or another and provide the pportunity to receive one to one preparations to take the GED. This is how we started five years ago...

Small Steps Make Big Changes Down the Road
Holly taught a fantastic ride today with many challenging intervals and inspiring words. At the end zone, she reminded us that the end zone was not the cool down, and even though it is only five minutes-it's those small amounts of time that accumulate into big changes.

Holly rocked us out today at the 9:30 Pushing the Zone! I love the balace of letting go while moving forward; zoning out while holding yourself accountable. She helped us do this today.

Workout: 9:30 Holly at Ride the Zone Holly led us through this amazing interval of races with arm work. Most of it was the standard switch backs with advanced options that burn my lats, triceps, and biceps.
