20 min core
Then working on the 20 pull up challenge. Is it a really bad sign that I can barely even do the negative pull-ups in week -2? I've been working on the pull-up machine with a 30 lb counter weight. Kinda frustrating to have to start there, but I'm determined to make it to 20 pullups. Even if it takes me til the end of the year.

i want sookie's abs
Very fun busy weekend. I had a friend's engagment party in Jersey on sat and friends in town all weekend. There was lots of food and drinking involved. It felt so great to be back in the gym today. I lifted, went to spinning and an abs class. Does anyone else watch True Blood? Sookie is seriously my body motivation at the moment. She is slamming!

Had a sub in spin yesterday. I've had her before and she's really great, but completely technologically challenged. Literally every time I've taken her class, she's either broken her ipod, her headset, the cord, something. Her class is a real ass kicker though so it's ok. After was core, also good. Not as fun as my regular teacher's class, but we did lots of planks

Bad day at work. Remedy was 45 min spin class and 25 min of core. It was really intense, but felt really good.

Sometimes the AC is enough motivation to get to the gym
I had a really relaxing long weekend and although I did lots of walking, there were no official workouts til Monday night. For lack of anything else to do, I went to 3 classes: yoga, spinning and core. It was great to spend so much time at the gym, not least of which to take advantage of the AC. It has been HOT in nyc.

New apt, new workout buddy
I moved into my new apt this past weekend. I absolutely love it, but I did a lot of sweating, heavy lifting, and shlepping to get it all done. I actually still have a few more things to move over (thankfully it's only a 2 block move so a lot of things I could bring myself), but the vast majority is done. At least I burned mucho calories doing it.

Practice, practice
45 min spin and 30 min core. I also spent time today practicing my headstand. Ever since I did my first one last week, I'm determined to practice it everyday until it's perfect.

Spinning and core, plain and simple
Awesome spin class today! We had a sub and she totally kicked my ass. Lots of jumps, sprinting up hill and long climbs. Core class after was just as good. More crunches than I generally care for, but we did several planks and this plank/pushup combo I love.
