Workout
Baptiste Vinyasa was NO joke!
So, I finally got to a Baptiste Vinyasa class. It's very similar to C2 heated vinyasa classes at CorePower, but longer (90 minutes). Mama likey. I don't know what it was...Maybe it was the Vega Sport I sipped on during class (you're supposed to drink 30 minutes before an intense workout, but in a rush to the bus, I dumped it in my Sigg), but i swear buckets.
Poet Laureate
Poetry-Inspired Walks to Remember
April is National Poetry Month, and as one of the undergraduate poets at the Sarah Lawrence Poetry Festival last week declared in a reading, it's also the month "the sky shook off its clothes and was brilliant." With the influx of (mostly) good weather, and the Million Minute Month staring down its well-measured and long barrel at us, it's time to peek our wintered heads out of our proverbial doors and start poking around again. In honor of poetry, and weather, and accruing those walking minutes, I've assembled a few walks to try, from the Edgar Allan Poe Walking Tour to the Windy City Stroll. Links after the jump.
More...GO Feral Challengers, GO (and an awesome smoothie recipe)!
I snoozed on joining the Feral Challenge and now I really wish I had! I'm loving everyone's feralicious posts (in addition to the usual awesome Social Workout staffer posts), so KEEP IT UP!

Workout
The last Thursday ...
I managed to make it to Powertrain and spinning today -- I feel like both classes were extra intense this week. Or maybe it was that I ate cake for breakfast... Either way.
Workout
Catching up...
Tuesday Fortitude + some cardio + lots and lots of slogging around in the snow and cleaning off the car.

Apparently, my Junk is way heavier in the evening
After a long time of talking yoga over the Internet with fellow Chicago Social Workouter Maya Henderson, we finally met up for last night's Junk class at DBG. It was so good to meet her in person!
But the vibe at the gym last night wasn't so great--admittedly I am very spoiled and a totaly daytime gym person.
Workout
Friday yoga, or the great sniffle
Friday was one of those days when, about 10 minutes into class, I realized that I was probably really annoying to those around me. There was sniffling and nose blowing... so, with apologies to the person next to me, that's the latest.
Workout
Inspiring Yoga Sculpt!
Yoga Sculpt, a combination of weights and vinyasa yoga in a heated room at CorePower is one of my favorite classes. I always leave feeling strong and fit.
On Saturday, I felt like i could tackle the world after class. Maybe it was because I woke up early and had two huge bowel movements, but I was super light and energetic!
Workout
Friday Flexibilty
So, I hit up my usual C2 class with Kristin on Friday night at CorePowr Gold Coast.
Beside the fact that I had to clean mats for others to use (the cleaner never showed and I'm nice), it was a great class. Full, but not super packed. She played great music and we got a great workout.
That is all.
