Mandy Ingber: Musical Yogi to the Stars
I first encountered Mandy Ingber in an unusually good Self magazine spread getting all bendy with her client Jennifer Aniston. Ingber is a yogi to the stars, with requisite DVD, and at the moment she's on tour (as celebrity yogis will do these days) with Self's multi-city Workout in the Park series. (I don’t mean to be all pluggy, but I’ve been to the Wokout in the Park before, and it’s really kind of this awesome festival of spandex and squatting, and proceeds go toward curing cancer.) Anyway, Mandy was gracious enough to ditch Jennifer for a few minutes to hang with me and answer some questions....
What is it like to be a yoga celebrity? It seems like a dichotomy, doesn't it? It is a total surprise. I was not expecting to become famous for teaching yoga. I used to be an actress, and left that profession to teach, so it's kind of funny that it turned out this way. I guess the pressure is on to be more relaxed! And to stay off of coffee.

Jude Law: Workout Exhibitionist
The New York Post reports that Jude Law likes to work out with his personal trainer on his balcony. (Check out their awesome photos of his sweatpants tucked into his socks). Only problem, his balcony is overlooked by an NYU dorm full of freshman girls. Whenever he comes out in his sweats to do his sit-ups, the girls hoot and holler and grab their binoculars. He has begun retaliating by throwing fruit up at the dorm windows, though apparently his aim isn't stellar. Simpler solution: Workout inside. But whatever.
