Feat

Caffeine free

Think you can do it? We do. No caffeine for a week. It raises cortisol levels in your body, causes your blood sugar to spike and leads to eventual fatigue. Withdraw now and thank us later.

Lo-gloo

Eat nothing made with wheat. We're only asking you to do it for a week. No wheat, barley or rye. Explore other alternatives: Corn pasta, wheat-free cakes, bread made from brown rice. Garbanzo flour, fava bean flour, coconut flour, Bob's Red Mill. A lot of this stuff tastes really good. You probably won't even notice a difference.

Flog

It sounds annoying to write down everything you eat all day long, but why not give it a shot? Keeping track of the foods you consume will make you more mindful and self-aware. For one week carry a notebook and record your daily intake.

No-moo

String cheese for a snack, half-and-half in your coffee, whole milk in your cereal, parmesan on your pasta and how about those drippy cheddar cheese quesadillas? You've got a lot of dairy in your diet—don't worry, we're not judging. But too much of it can make you mucusy and sluggish. Try cutting it out for a week and see how you feel. Not a big deal.

Just Water

qasimvirjee's picture

Water is your body's principal chemical component, making up, on average, 60 percent of your body weight. Every system in your body depends on water. Water flushes toxins out of vital organs and carries nutrients to your cells. Water is, to put it simply, awesome. It keeps your skin smooth and your insides clean and your body thanks you when you drink it. Try drinking eight 8-ounce glasses a day for a week. Eat whatever you want. But drink only water. You'll feel a difference. We promise.

Unsweetened

We know, you're obsessed with eating sweets. And we're asking you to give them up—but that's not all. Forget adding sugar to your coffee, honey in your tea, a squirt of agave on your finger. NO SUGAR. Read your labels. Adios high fructose corn syrup, cane juice, maple syrup. Strip your diet clean of cloying excess calories and go for the natural stuff instead.
