Learn to dive

I'm a decent swimmer.  Confident, anyhow.  But I never learned how to dive, even just off the side of the pool or off a boat.  Still can't when I try.  And I want to.  So that's my first suggestion for a Feat of Summer.

I'm sure someone out there can empathize . . .

I'm at my wedding weight!  This is really awesome, a huge relief, and, unfortunately, has an enormous effect on my mood.

Now, if I could just get down to my divorce weight . . .

Surely Joan Rivers or similar has beat me to the punch with this.  Though, it's not a crack.  It's real.  There is no diet supplement like adreneline and grief.

Applied Fitness

One of the benefits of being fit and strong: I am the only woman in my office who will change the damned water cooler.

Overheard: "It's the wave of the future for our bodies."

The scene: around 9 p.m., on the paths around the U.S. Capitol.  A hippie/homeless-looking man with long ponytail, fingerless gloves, and a lot of luggage including several five-gallon buckets, and a frisbee in his hand, is wrapping up a conversation with two bicycle-mounted Capitol police.  (I am walking up the hill after my speed workout on the mall.)

My post-challenge reflections

I’ve been thinking a lot about what I wanted to write at the end of the challenge.  For one thing, this is the first place on the internet where I feel like I get it.  It’s a home.

The past month has either taught me or reminded me of so many things.  To wit:

•    It is within my ability to do a pull-up.

My workout motivation is in this cup . . .

What a sad, sad, tired day for me.  I am not a total coffee fiend.  I can forget to drink it and still function fine, and on days I do drink it, it's just one cup.

Today I forgot/didn't feel like making it or buying it.  I JUST got around to having some, and now I am ready to SPANK some push-ups and pull-ups over my lunch break.  Spank them, I say!

105% but no feat accompli . . .

My "General Exercise" feat dial goes to eleven.

No but seriously, can anyone help?  I've logged 21 workouts in March, but can't get a feat accompli.

Thanks!!

Help me, yogis!

Ok.  I need some feedback.  Should I take what feels like a natural break from Bikram, or keep at it?
