My New Breville and Your First Green Juice

- Breville!
I finally bought my own juicer. I've been putting it off as I wanted to get the absolute best juicer that costs the most money so that everything in my world would be perfect!
Well...that just meant that I never got the juicer. For years now. And, also, that I kept $10 juices made for me on someone else's juicer. As wonderful as it is to have great juice options around town, there's something deeply nourishing about making your own. Also, it's practical: You save money in the long run; your veggies don't go bad since you can just throw them in the juicer; and, for some reason, it just tastes better. If you've been putting it off like me, just go for it! I got the Breville and am totally happy with it.
Why do I love green juices? Let me count the ways: I feel nourished and hydrated by them. My skin and eyes are brighter when I drink them regularly. They balance out my appetite, sugar cravings, and energy levels. And I feel good just know many minerals, nutrients, and alkalining green-ness I'm getting in each drink!
You can put anything in green juice! For the newbies I recommend throwing in a touch of sweetness such as apple, pear, or carrot. If you want something more bitter, keep it simpler with leafy greens, celery, and cucumber. For a special touch, I love to add a kick of ginger and lemon. The more you do it, the more creative you will get. You can even use veggies, such as burdock root, fennel, daikon, cilantro, etc.
Here's my latest green juice. Try it out and tell me what you think...
