One Million: The Post Game Show

One Thousand Minutes or More!

We started on Tax Day, and we thought it would be over before Memorial Day. In fact, it didn't take one month, it took four. But finally, last night around 8 P.M., Social Workout General Hero msh258 put us across the one million line.

Eight hundred and fifteen souls joined our strange journey, and 200 of those actually "mlogged" more than one thousand minutes. (Click through for full size graph.) Our stats team is just now digging into the numbers, and we'll be churning out the analytics over the next few days, and officially awarding prizes. But a few immediate highlights before the major networks steal our thunder.....

After a riveting duel for first place, it looks like bwaytapper, with an astounding 30,355 minutes, edged out michlny by a mere 824 minutes to claim Top Mlogger honors. Given how high their minute totals are, however, and how narrow the difference, it's clear that both deserve extended bodywork sessions. Together, these two accounted for fully 6% of all minutes mlogged. (Don't be surprised if michlny loyalists call for a recount, and this thing moves to litigation.)

The results are also in on our Final Sprint Bonus Program. Please recall that we implemented a special prize for that challenger who managed from 900,000 minutes to 1,000,000 to most increase their daily average. Our FSBP winner is the amazing Llaves! And here are our top six challengers whose final kick brought the crowds to their feet:

Much more to come, including an official awards ceremony, news on the Million Minute Month Victory Bash, and a formal invitation to a light, palette-clearing late summer follow up to the MMM.....

I've always worked out and I will always continue to.  It is really what makes me happy, makes me feel good and keeps me sane.

But I am MOST impressed with many of the MLoggers - you all set goals, achieved them, you pushed yourselves and tried new things -- I am so inspired!!

I hope you all KEEP IT UP!!!

- No one ever regrets working out :)

I also can't believe I finished around 37th given that I was injured for the entire first month of the, er, Million Minute Month.  Good thing it lasted.  :)

Well, even if I didn't come close to threatening bwaytapper or michlny (30k? How did they do that?! Majorly impressive.), it looks like I did at least sneak into the top 15 -- woohoo!

Big thanks and congrats to the whole SW crowd for this collaborative triumph!

I must admit at 1st I hated the whole collective minutes thing but I grew to really enjoy it it added a great sense of community. I will miss Mloging my minutes. Great work everyone!!  Thank you SW for great challenge & all you updates & contests! Thank you Michlny for being right there with me in minutes it def gave me a little push whenever you would take the lead for more then a day or two:)

I hate to say I'm missing counting minutes, too. I'm sure hoping this feeling goes away soon. Missed mlogging my airport-schlepping minutes from the final day, Thursday. Wasn't much, only about 20 minutes. Jeez, did this challenge make me anal.

Congratulations all around!!! What a doozie.

And, I'd just like to add, I'm so glad we finished it. Thanks for your tenacity and stamina, SoWo!

so hard to get motivated for this challenge and then when i finally got really into it, my minutes stopped adding up :(  what a weird technical glitch.  apparently only me, but for whatever reason, my minutes reached 8995 on July 27th and no matter how many entries i added later, the total would never change.  so eventually i just stopped.  bottom line - sooooo ready for another challenge & hope i can play along not only physically, but technologically this time...
