Lululemon is leading a massive yoga charge with "Salutation Nation" this Saturday. All over the country, from 9:00 - 10:00 A.M., Lululemon is offering free outdoor yoga classes. As Lululemon says, "Across the continent, mats will roll out onto grass, sand, and pavement as part of this incredible outdoor yoga experience grounded in community, elevating connections." Check the local listings for locations. Of note: Of the nine fattest states, only two have Lululemon stores, so no Salutation Nation for the other seven. Not that I'm claiming any correlation/causation whatever whatever. But maybe we don't need fitness tax credits? Maybe we just need a Lululemon to open in Jackson, Mississippi...

lululemon does not make sizes larger than a "large", and for the few pieces that they do they're not readily available. so if they want to expand their market and create a cute and comfortable "plus-size" line with as much as variety as their straight sizes then I'd agree they're the answer. Otherwise the underlying sentiment of "hey everyone, we're offering free yoga classes! come exercise with us! unfortunately you're not thin enough yet to wear our clothing though, so good luck figuring out what to wear" is not very appealing or supportive.

I'll be there; giving adjustments and assists for the Long Island, NY edition. It's pretty rad that hundreds of people will be in similtaneous-yogic-bliss 'cross our big western nation... i'm blessed (and pretty damn stoked) to be a part of it!
