It's Hammock Time

Hammock (via alltrain43)

Canadian yoga teacher and "blissologist" Eoin Finn recently founded the Hammock Enlightenment Society. Their mantra is two-bits cheesy and rhyme-y: "We want to make the world a better place, By slowing down our frenetic pace, By doing so we make the space, To open up to Love and Grace." But their manifesto, which calls for ten minutes of hammock time every afternoon, is kind of groovy. Excerpt:

We believe in the hammock as both a symbol and a tool to remedy the epidemic of busyness.
We believe that our society is time poor and rich in stress.  A lack of time is an unrecognized form of poverty.
We believe that when we are relaxed, we are more likely to be kind to others.

Full manifesto, which you can print out and point to very seriously whenever anyone tries to interrupt your hammock time, on Eoin's website. (Via it's all yoga, baby).

I so needed that today. Only wish I'd seen it earlier.
