A Social Workout-er does not wait in traffic

Friday afternoon, while driving out to Pennsylvania, my friends and I were stuck in traffic at almost a complete standstlll for over an hour. Fed up with the sitting, I decided I could walk to Pennsylvania faster. So I got out of the car and walked almost a half-mile along I-80 until my friends in our car caught up with me.

This picture is me and my pedometer, way in the distance, saying "Suck It!" to rush hour.

Tags: several people along the road asked if I was ok I think they assumed I had a fight w/ my boyfriend and stormed out of the vehicle

I came very close to doing this myself yesterday in St. Louis.  As it turned out, though, the reason traffic was stuck was because of a shooting on the bridge ahead of me, so kind of glad I didn't.
