337,417 Minutes on A Friday Evening

Day 30 of the Million Minute Month

Mloggers! Late this Friday, let us celebrate. Let us celebrate the small victory of 337,417 minutes of healthiness. Let us celebrate the slow, steady crawl we're making towards a seemingly remote target. Let us celebrate our leaders: The two person 5,000 club, seven person 4,0000 club, and 11 person 3,000 club. Let us celebrate the dozen new mloggers who have quietly joined our crazy mission. (Let us celebrate the way in which this Progress Report sounds dangerously like a late night tele-evangelical sermon!) YES! Let us laugh, and let us then, in an instant, become grimly serious and think forward to tomorrow and Sunday. For many of us, the weekend is a crucial time for physical catharsis and copious minute logging. It must be planned. Set your intention now, cross-check your class schedule, or simply make a relevant mental note. And then forget about it, and enjoy your Friday evening. Perhaps it will involve a brief twilight run, or efficient trip to gym; but then perhaps a meeting with friends, maybe a cocktail, eventually the slight slurring of goodbyes. Perhaps it will feel, after the week, like a long full body sigh. Recharging is healthy too....

Comments

I'm confused. Does May 15 not count towards the original 30 days of the challenge? I tried to log some minutes and it kept saying "invalid challenge". I ran my 10K this morning and I want my minutes to count, dammit! At times that was the only thing that kept me going! ;)

Hey 100Pounds, not to worry, and thanks for the question! Our bad: The challenge was set to finish today, BUT we've long since extended the deadline. Various settings have been rearranged, and you can now input your minutes. As noted, we're in this thing to get to One Million, come hell or high summer.
