Million Minute Month
Five Million Minutes in the Five Boro Bike Tour

- Five Boro Bike Tour (via Bike New York)
The Five Boro Bike Tour goes down this Sunday. That's 30,000 bikers taking to the streets of New York, covering 42 miles and touching every borough. The registration window closed ages ago (mark your calendars for February 1, 2011 to register for next year's tour) but the window for logging biking minutes is wide open. So attention Five Borough Riders: The Million Minute Month needs you! The speediest of you will finish in around three hours, or 180 minutes, and 180 x 30,000 is 5 MILLION 400 thousand minutes. If you're riding or know someone who's riding, send them and their minutes our way. Ditto Great Saunterers, Harold Hunter Runners, and any other folks who plan to sweat en masse this weekend.

I used to do this ride, but then it rained every year so I quit. It looks like Sunday will be warm and cloudy, should be a good time.

My husband is riding and despite my hounding him to log his training minutes and the race, he hasn't done any of them yet. I will work on him post-Sunday. ;)
