- Day 15 of the Million Minute Month
Mloggers! We've arrived at Day 15 of the Million Minute Month, and the ugly truth is our minute pace is a little soft in the belly. Clearly, it's time for the Day 15 award ceremony: Please give it up for maymay, who is currently topping the charts* in the Dance, Pilates, and Aerobics category! Maymay has knocked off over 1,000 minutes of steamy hip hop, funk, and cardio tai boxing, and so she will receive a Pilates book-and-DVD care package courtesy of her category's Spirit Guide, Brooke Siler. Go maymay! Please recall that we have much more to give away, including two full years of Crunch gym membership and full makeovers from Jack Rabbit Sports. Um, drag yourself out of the apartment, log a few minutes, and the next thing you know you may be sporting some hot new kicks! Read on for today's leaderboard....

If bwaytapper has done that much yoga in the past 15 days, I am impressed! And I do 90/min a day. Kudos.

You do 90 mins of yoga every day, that is incredible... every day?? so that means that bwaytapper is doing almost 2 hrs of yoga every day for the past 15 days... i guess it depends on the type of yoga, but if you are doing bikram or a power yoga... geez louise...
But I am looking at the leaderboards, I have to be honest, I am having a tough time believing anyone who is not a fitness instructor doing 2 hrs of exercise daily for 2 weeks and not taking a day off to recover... unless they are on a biking tour somewhere... I wish that people would post their workouts. I agree with erikka, on 4/20 she thinks 20 hrs in 6 days is fishy... she wants blog entries...I still post my workouts bc at the end of the year, i want to know how many workouts I have done...

Yep, I am currently doing a 30 day challenge at Bikram Yoga Boston, which began April 1. I have class today and tomorrow and then it is done! Let me tell you, it's not easy, but its been doing incredible things for me so I keep going back. If I can figure out my hamstrings by tomorrow, I am considering extending to a 60 day challenge through the month of May.
In regard to people boosting their hours, it is possible, but far be it from me to accuse anyone. There's really no way of knowing; it's very much scout's honor with this sort of thing.

That is so cool you have done Bikram EVERY DAY and will qualify for the 60 day deal. Wow! Congrats! I've wondered how many people actually qualify for that.
In Dec-Jan I did the 30-day deal out west but was gone part of the time so no 60 days for me. While I liked it a lot I got a little stir crazy w/ the repetition (more so than the heat!). If I had been counting the minutes, I would have added on savasana at the end, since that wasn't part of the 90-minute class, making those classes closer to 100 minutes each. They don't say that savasana is the most important pose for nothing.

bravo to the 30+ days of bikram! I once did 26 days but then was going out of town so that was that. once you get into the groove, it's amazing...but once out, its SOOO hard to convince yourself to try that again. just somehting about the hot yoga i noticed.
good luck with the hammie! hamstring injuries are not to be messed with so I hope everything is ok and that you don't push TOO hard! :)

oh and...HIGH PRAISE for Sarina Jain! I was in the running for a few days until her name popped up with like triple what everyone else has, haha! no one is going to come close! But that's why Sarina is the best! :)

I'm not going to blog every single workout this time around. Adding twenty minutes of chin ups and such a day is just not blog worthy. But I don't think I'm in any way moving up the leader board and not really interested in winning anything... I'm skipping subway stops and doing pushups and avoiding my hotel room and having vigorous sex for myself, thanks ;)

alexbondarenko, I thought you were doing the 30 day challenge.. i have to give you your props... I just can't do the same thing every day. I have friends who spin every day, I can't do that... I have a short attention span, and get bored easily....
be careful with your hamstrings, they take a long time to heal...

Thanks all! I don't really mind the repetition at all. I sort of like it. I find it very relaxing rather than monotonous.
Spindig, you have a point about the final savasana, haha. I guess I haven't been that much of a minute stickler. I actually get to the hot room a half hour early too to stretch and I haven't been counting that!
And for all those wondering, my hamstrings are getting better every day! I think just built muscle faster than I was able to stretch it out, if that makes sense.
Off to yoga!

Thank you so much, I love you social workout (sorry for delayed reply, I just got this message today, it was in my spam)! This is the best site ever, thank you for counting all my workouts and coming up with such cool feats and challenges. To celebrate, I will, of course, dance, and dance like I've never danced before!!! And blog about it!!!
