The Most Feral Among Us!

- The 2010 Feralicious
Before we get to the fist pumping, a word about being strung out, working too hard, sleeping too little, and not exercising at all. The Feralicious, our eighth group attempt at extreme wellness, began on March 1st. Three hundred and fifty-six people signed up for the challenge. Of those, 189 gave it the old college try, logging at least one workout, not to mention thousands of pushups, situps, and feral meals. But only 28 challengers finished the job.
People, this challenge was tough. Life happens, and we get lost in the flood. Inertia isn't linear: The less you do, the harder it is to start doing anything. Computer screens are addictive, as are cigarettes, bars, and email. So, we've come today to celebrate the winners, but let's take a moment to hug the sinners. I'm one of them, and can say with first-hand knowledge that it's not pretty. I can also say, drawing on the limited power invested in me by this blog, that we are all forgiven. The only failure is a failure to try. Our time will come.
Today, however, belongs to 28 feralicious ones. I wish we could have them all on display here, half naked, spattered in mud, and drinking kale smoothies. But we'd probably get in trouble for that. Instead, I'm proud to simply present to you the names of all of our finishers, each of whom will receive a very limited edition Social Workout Feralicious Challenge t-shirt. Their names will also live forever at the top of the Feralicious Leaderboard. In addition, we present you with a final accounting of the feral feats! For the first time, you'll get to see who did the most of what, and I think you'll be surprised to see the extent to which certain challengers crushed certain feats.
So, with out further ado, let's raise a virtual glass to all of our challengers, and I give you the Most Feral Among Us....

Oh shoot! I made two mistakes-I stopped recording after I completed the feat and I recorded cardio in hours instead of mins...I had 680 min (due to half training!). I'll do it right next time!
Congrats to all the finishers!!

Wow, I was proud of myself for hitting my 1,000s and (barely) managing 30 minutes of sprints, but some of these people are FERAL BEASTS! Way to go, everyone!

Congrats, everybody! Eeks on the tracking. I threw in the towel on most of them too after I hit the mark (except for pullups situps squats). It's just plain hard if you're not a counter. Lesson learned, if you ride your bike to get places, you'll be a cardio unplugged powerhouse. Ditto if you run marathons. And if you're a triathlete, forgeddaboudit.
Hats off!

Y'all are INSANE. In a fantastic, super-impressive, humbling sort of way. Way to go!

Holy Cow! Adriana! That is SO MANY PULL UPS! Bad Ass. All of you! Congrats! And thank you SW for all the great motivation. So many days I would have pulled the covers over my head and gone back to sleep instead of working out if it were not for this Web site!

YAYAYA congrats all!!! I didn't know we were supposed to keep tracking- I stopped counting after I finished...i was too happy to be done!

Nice job, y'all! Ditto on the tracking...I stopped once I hit the mark. Oops! Oh, well...lesson learned. ;~)
