Forthright Friday - 134.0 pounds

- Forthright Friday.jpg
I know myself, and that if I really focus, I’m going to be able to get close to – if not meet the 123 mark. The problem is that I’m feeling lazy. I had off from class this past week, and only made it to the gym 3 times the entire week – and two of the workouts weren’t even that great. I also am dealing with a shin splint situation – but that doesn’t mean I can’t spend some quality time on the elliptical. I need to refocus and get remotivated, but it’s just not happening. I’m a Feral Challenge drop out because I didn’t plan well for it. Getting to the gym and being healthy hasn’t exactly been a top priority. The effects of not working out are evident – and I’m talking about more than just the bit of weight gain. I’m a more centered person when I go to the gym in the mornings and start my day off right, I feel better about myself and am more confident, and I also tend to make better eating choices throughout the day if I work out in the morning. Starting Sunday, I’m really going to get back on track, and I’m serious about it this time. I have family visiting this weekend, and though I’m going to TRY to be healthy, there is a possibility there may be some indulgences.
SW people – someone, PLEASE keep me accountable! In terms of weight, because that’s what Forthright Friday is about, I want to try to get back to 130 by month end, and maybe into the 120's by my birthday, which is exactly 1 month away.

Starry, you're doing great! And yes, it's the week to get back on it! You can do it. :)

Thanks all! Got in a good workout today, and am trying to get back into a routine.
msh - I need a drill sargeant to yell at me when I'm being lazy and not eating healthy and working out as necessary. The goal is to get in 4 workouts this week between monday and friday, keep me honest please!

Starry - I'm 2 weeks into my 13lbs in 13 weeks challenge to myself (also a Feral Challenge drop out). That'll take me up to the end of May. 11lbs in 11 weeks? Join me! I have another idea too but I'll get back to you on that one! And remember that you are doing great and sometimes life does just have to get in the way of good intentions and that's no bad thing :)

CakeorDeath - I am in! that means I can get to goal weight by the end of May if I stay on the challenge you've created!! And I'm going away the first weekend in June, and bathing suits will be involved, so this is perfect.
Let me know the other idea once it's more solid!

Have to be honest, there's not much to the first challenge other than eating less and moving more in a conscious effort to shift a few pounds.
The second one can start whenever you like. Since 1st March my friend and I have been doing a marathon challenge (to complete a marathon before the London Marathon at the end of April). Turns out we were both more competitive than we realised and will finish by Thursday! The winner gets a prize of around £10 value. So we're well up for another one, maybe starting next week, if you fancy a bit of a competition?

I'm actually having to take it easy on the running because I'm dealing with shin splints - I'm in for the first challenge though. Are you tracking anywhere?
