Yoga can sometimes be a frustrating form of relaxation. There are swarms of people that squeez into Yoga To the People to groan and moan at full volume, and sometimes that just not want we are looking for when we want to unwind. The fancy shmancy studios are as expensive as buying a studio apartment in manhattan and sometimes there is a snooty air of Upper East Side antiquity when you enter the room having to immediately take off your shoes at the door.

Welcome to the USQ neighborhood my new favorite gem, Yoga Vida. It's brand spanking new this month and it's gorgeous! There are two lovely studios, with fresh hard wood that still smells of murphy's oil, and large windows that compliment the soaring ceilings. There is even an elevated block with a yoga mat set up for the teacher so seeing the instructions is never a challenge.

The price is right. It's the best deal in this town. $5 for a class w/ your student ID and $10 for a regular adult. The first week you have unlimitted access for this price. You can buy very affordable 5 and 10 passes and also sign up for monthly memberships.

The people are delightful, delovely, delicious. The people that work there and the yoga students all give off sincerity and enthusiasm. There is a feeling of community ommmmm- a warmth in the air. The yoga is pretty low key and laid back. The open level "flow class" was pretty basic but I never got bored.

They also have time slots with live music, candle light, and theme nights.
