Boiling eggs is usually a combination of boredom and precision.  You want perfect eggs, but paying attention to a pot of boiling water for exactly 7 minutes and 40 seconds isn't fun, or easy.  Enter eggwatchers.com "the egg timer that entertains you".  You calculate your cooking time, through a series of cute graphics, put your pot on the stove, and let eggwatchers entertain you with a you tube video that matches your egg's cooking time.  My first try got me a David Attenborough video on whales.  My second try was less successful, as it involved chimpanzees (good) but was in Japanese (bad).  The eggs were lovely.
