DIYfeat: Who needs Cancun when you've got 8 inches of snow in Boston, right? Right?!
Over the holidays I initially wanted to go on a fancy schmancy yoga retreat somewhere warm. You know, so people would say things like "oh, you look so rested" when I got back to work in January (because surely I look anything but most of the time). But those suckers are expensive and my sister was stuck working in Boston straight through 'til New Year's. So, with a week membership to Exhale Boston and a yoga studio across the street from her apartment in Boston's South End, I DIY'd my own damn retreat, thank you very much. Boston's just like Cancus, right? Right?!
Over 8 days I did all kinds of Core Fusion and yoga classes. I even did something called Forrest Yoga. Who knew. It was invigorating and a great balance to all the chillaxin' I did when I wasn't working out. Now show me one yoga retreat that features martinis and cable TV. Not exactly entirely zen, but not bad for a DIY.
Feat Accompli!

diy retreats are the way to go. it keeps you out of the lurking behometh that is jfk.

Ohh, I've been wanting to try out the exhale yoga and core classes-- I have a 2 week membership. I live in Boston and find the only way to endure it is to make it a vacation in its own right. Nice work!

I highly recommend the Exhale Boston Arlington location! The core classes are great - I took both a Basics and a regular class. Both were tough! Mostly though I love LOVE the yoga studio. It's dimly lit and warm and they play great music. I really liked the teacher Emily. But took others who were also great. Pamper yourself in the dressing room after if you can - they have showers, steam rooms and yummy tea. You'll deserve it after working hard in class! Enjoy Boston!
